Physical Description: Alurane is a dark person, and that makes people wonder how she made it to be a professor, and even in Gryffindor her first year. Her hair is a brown color, but it has some red in it, and the red shows when she is in the sun. She has striking blue eyes, and that makes it hard for people to look away from her. She dresses in the usual style of the Professors around the school, but her makeup is darker than normal. When she isn’t around the school she dresses like one would expect a gothic muggle to dress, but she likes that style because she was once thought to be a muggle.
Personality: Alurane’s personality can be described as kind, and when she feels like it she can have a dark humor. She teaches like she lives her life, and that is that no one is above the rules. She sets them early, and she lets them know the punishment if one were to disobey. She can be called a hard ass sometimes, but if she went soft then mistakes would be made in her class and she won’t tolerate that.
Some people call her hard, but she will do whatever it takes to protect the people she has in her house and under her wing. She won’t let any harm come to them that they don’t need to become good witches and wizards. Some of her methods are harsh, but she makes sure that they are legal. She even supervises the trips into the Forbidden Forest with the students serving detention.
Powers: Alurane has the basic powers of a witch and she is one of the more powerful witches at the school. She doesn’t boast, but she can do wandless and wordless magic. She trained to do that so she could blend into the muggles when needed. She is a registered animagus, but she doesn’t let people on to her. Few know of her real abilities, and she likes to keep that way. She is trained in Occlumency from a young age, so she has the ability to block her memories. She has some ability with Legilimency, so she uses it in her classes to make sure that students aren’t lying to her.
The past is the past.
History: Alurane was born to her parents Gerald, and Marianne Shadowmorne. Their names were different before they were hunted down, but they changed them later for protection. Alurane was a single child, that wasn’t expected, and she was raised as a muggle. Her parents were in hiding from the Wizarding world because they were powerful. They were born that way, and no one knows why, but it made their child even more powerful. A seer told them that their child would be the most powerful witch without the aid of magic, and they were terrified. They even went so far as to immerse themselves in the muggle world to hide themselves. They put their wands away, and didn’t use them. As Alurane grew up her parents told her about the world of magic, and even though she was told to try to live as a muggle in hopes that when she turned eleven that she wouldn’t get a letter to Hogwarts. As she developed her signs of magic were evident. She used her magic to bring things to her, and to shatter bulbs when she was upset. They didn’t want to believe it, but their daughter was showing more signs of a witch even before she could walk.
When she was around five her parents started teaching her how to shield her thoughts from someone getting in, and just before she turned eleven they started teaching her how to place false memories in her head for a short periods of time. She was learning fast, and that scared her parents. They feared that if she could learn that fast, then they would have to control her when she was able to do magic.
When her eleventh birthday came she received a letter from Hogwarts. Her parents were fearful that their daughter would be taken away from them. They let her go, and they trusted the headmistress, and they prayed that she would come back being able to take care of herself. Her first year there she looked out of place because even then she had a draw to the color black and chains. She wore her uniform the way it was supposed to be, but when she was given time to not wear it, and just a pin, she looked out of place. She looked like a muggle, and she had no problems with it. During her years there her magical talent was evident, and she could tell that people were watching her. She knew that they wanted her, but she wouldn’t let them. She learned many spells, and even some to protect her against the people that wanted to harm her.
In her other years at Hogwarts she quickly surpassed her friends and she lost many of them because they didn’t understand. She wasn’t going to tell them that her power was predicted, and that her parents were the other powerful witch and wizard that were wanted for their power. She grew separate from the student body, and she even took to helping students. Those that worked with her got to know her, and they liked her, but the ones that didn’t know her just hated her. Her house won a lot of things, but they also got into trouble because of her. She wasn’t one to keep her nose clean, and she had a habbitt of trying out new spells when she shouldn’t have been. She learned wordless magic when she wanted to pull some tricks on some of the teachers. It got her in trouble, but she slowly got wandless magic under control, and she used it. During her seventh year at Hogwarts the Headmistriss came to her and offered her a teaching job. She didn’t know what to do about it, but she accepted it. She took the potions position because it was open at the time, and she chose to keep her powers hidden. She didn’t want to look to conspicuous to the people out to get her.
She thought it over and when she got out of schooling she decided to wipe her parents memories. They were living like muggles. She went home and she wiped their memories. She gave them a memory that they didn’t have a daughter, and they were really muggles. She hated to do it, and she retrieved her things from her room. She made it look like they had a guest room, and she then went to train to teach at Hogwarts. She got used to her position, and she soon pushed her memory to the back of her memory. She even went so far as to make it seem like her parents died in her mind. She didn’t want people to think they were still out there. She would protect them. She filed the proper papers to make it seem like they died in a fire, and she even moved them out and burned her childhood home to the ground. As soon as she was finished she stood there crying. Once the fire was out she stopped the tears, and she put on a brave face so that she could continue protecting them.

RP Sample: Alurane looked out at the sky from the tower. It was a cloudy day, and it was most likely going to rain. She liked the rain, but she had to teach, so she couldn’t go and mourn her parent’s figurative graves. She had them put up because for all witches and wizards knowledge they were dead. She made sure to file the proper papers and her occlumency came in handy. She didn’t like lying, but she had to in order to protect them. She had put spells on her parents house so that they would be safe, but she wasn’t sure they would hold if someone really wanted to find them.
She checked the clock and she saw that her next class wasn’t for another hour or so, so she decided to go to the graveyard attached to the grounds. She had put them there because that was closest to her. As soon as she got out there the skies opened up and the rain fell in sheets. It was cold as ice, but she didn’t care. She looked at the headstones that marked their false graves, and all of the sudden all of the emotions that she was holding back came to the front. She fell to her knees as the tears leaked down her face, and she cried. She hoped that no one was there, but it would be her luck that someone would show up in her moment of weakness.
