Physical Description:
Hillary is just your average British girl. Perhaps a few pounds extra around her waist and with chubby cheeks that her older relatives still can't resist pinching. (It annoys her how a lot of people think she's younger than she actually is.) Her hair falls in long, brown locks around her face, constantly falling into her blue eyes unless she does something about it. She is spare on makeup and her everyday makeup consists of mascara and concealer. Her ears and the rest of her body is free from any piercings or tattoos. She's simply too afraid of the pain.
At Hogwarts, of course, Hillary most often dresses in her school robes. Whenever she's free however, she sports skinny jeans, tank tops, large flannel shirts and sneakers. Occasionally you might see her in a dress or skirt, and maybe you'll even catch her in a pair of heels from time to time, but those are only when there is a festive occasion.
Personality:
Hillary suffers from what you might call the "Hufflepuff-syndrome". She doesn't stand out in anything really. Not overly pretty or popular, no O's in her OWL's. Nothing to give her any extra attention. She is usually a very nice and sweet girl, but her little sister complex can make her do things she probably shouldn't. Never in the open though. She's not the one to start a fight in the middle of the school yard, but she could consider spreading rumors or send anonymous letters to people she doesn't like.
You can usually see her with a big smile on her face, or a frown between her eyes, or a smug expression, perhaps even an angry tear rolling down her cheek. I guess what I'm trying to say is, she has a lot of feelings. She's sixteen after all. Even though she may not always voice her opinion, Hillary is never neutral and her facial expressions usually gives her away. She is a terrible liar unless she's prepared herself thoroughly.
Yes, she does usually put herself first and some people might call her a coward. Were she to choose between fleeing or staying to help her friends and risk getting injured, there is a big chance she'd take the first alternative. That's just the way her mind works. Of course there could be exceptions to this. She'd enjoy playing the hero sometime. But only if the risks were really low and she'd be safe the entire time.
All of this fear disappears however and is replaced by a feeling of pure excitement when she puts on her mask and becomes one of the 'Dementors'. She turns into a new person and feels unstoppable.
Powers: None really. In school work, she's an average student.
The past is the past.
History:
Hillary is the youngest of four siblings and was constantly being compared to them. A comparison that wasn't to her advantage. Though the rest of her family were all muggles, her older siblings always seemed to find a way to outshine her with everything they did. There was the four years older sister Magda who was a successful lawyer. The three years older Arnold who, though not especially successful in anything particular, still had that ability to make everyone love him by simply being himself. And then there's the two year older Carol who supports herself as a professional basket ball player while still having time for her husband and newborn daughter.
Hillary's magical powers had never been very protruding. An extraordinary slam dunk in her very first basket ball game, a beloved flower she picked from the garden that stayed alive for months without water, favorite clothes she never grew too big for. Strange? Yes. But nothing they couldn't come up with a natural explanation for. She was naturally skilled, it was the air humidity, the fabric was overly stretchable. It wasn't until her eleventh birthday when a woman knocked on her door that she realized what it all meant.
At Hogwarts things were pretty much the same as her home though. Sorted into the 'not-so-special' house, and all of her friends seemed to achieve in something. There was the quidditch hero, the top of the class, the prankster, the one who always got into trouble... Next to them, Hillary seemed to blend into the wall. No one expected much of her. No one thought she would be the next Minister of Magic, nor be sent to Azkaban for that matter. She was just Hillary, the girl most people barely remembered the name of.
That's what drew her to the "Dementors". It was her secret way of showing everyone that she was someone to be counted with. They shouldn't underestimate her. It gave her a feeling of power and it was actually fun seeing the shocked and scared faces as her classmates saw what had happened during the night and knowing it had actually been her who had made them feel like that. With the 'Dementors' she was a completely different person, a braver person. Someone who mattered.

It was a nice evening, wasn't it? Dramatic, but still the type of weather that made you want to wrap a blanket around you and just cuddle up against the wall. Well, she seemed to be the only one enjoying it. Evelyn had run up to their dorm, and by now she was probably under her cover, hands against her ears to block out the thunder, and Mario looked seemingly annoyed as he moved his hands away from the warming fire to turn another page in his book.
Hillary herself was curled up on the window sill, a cup of hot cocoa in her hands and eyes fixated at the flashes outside and the rain pounding on the thick glass. She had no desire whatsoever to finish her potions essay. She hadn't understood half of what professor Shadowmorne had been talking about, and besides, she'd find a way to get it done til tomorrow. The same way she'd managed to pass her OWL's in the subject last year. With the help of Mario. It wasn't as if he was very careful with where he stored his papers anyway. In fact, the essay was already safely tucked into her own pocket. She'd copy it later tonight and then she'd sneak it back into his drawer without him noticing it was even gone in the first place. He probably wouldn't mind. He was a good friend, and never minded helping her study before a test. But just in case, she probably shouldn't say anything to him this time. Didn't want to risk him overreacting about it.
